Hard Pressed

Psalm 118:6  When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD;
he brought me into a spacious place.

Trust that God is doing an excellent work in you.

When feeling hard pressed or pressured , it’s only God refining you for HIS will

HIS way is perfect, everything that HE does is perfect.

God has made a declaration to prosper and establish you.

Trust Him!

Manna

Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

In the 16th chapter of Exodus, God again shows HIS mercy on the complaining Israelites by providing “bread from heaven” for them. This bread is described as being white like coriander seed and tasting like wafers made with honey. The Hebrew definition of  Manna is “whatness”, so in essence, God rained down a sweet “whatness” for the people each day and their only requirement was to gather as much as they needed.

Just as it was hard for the Israelites to categorize manna, we often have trouble finding words for God’s Grace and Mercy. I am not for certain of its exact definition but I know that it is new every morning and it is sufficient for all of my needs. Just like manna, my only requirement is to take as much of His Grace and Mercy as I need on a given day. Somedays I need a lot and other days, not so much.

Recently a co-worker asked me why I come to work so happy each day. I responded by saying what choice do I have. In Exodus 16, God commanded the people to “gather” enough manna, nine times throughout the text! If God said it, I am going to do it and since he said it nine times, I am really going to do it! I choose to gather HIS manna daily because I need it to survive. Without it, there’s no hope and no future.

I pray that you wake up each day, with a set intention on gathering God’s manna!

What’s your Ministry

Ecclesiastes 3:15 Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account.

Revelation only comes through God and I am absolutely amazed at what He shares with me. God said, “You become the ministry that I want to preach to the world through you”.  I began to think about my life and the ministry that he has called me to proclaim. It has always been a ministry of restoration, rejuvenation and empowerment. That in itself says alot. I had to go through a tearing down, powerless and exhausted state of existence to proclaim victory over them. God’s word tells us that after you have suffered a little while, God himself will restore you and make you strong.

Think about past or present situations that you have found yourself dealing with. Some questions that come to mind may be why did this happen to me or what did I do to deserve this. The shaping and molding and bending and breaking process is tough! It is hard to mend a broken heart while going through life’s daily routine. It gets tough offering encouragement to others when your whole life is turned upside down. As you go through it and the world watches how you handle it, you become that word that God wants to proclaim. God is still adding books to the bible and your name happens to be the title of one!

Be still and know that God is making you usable. Usable for His purpose and not your own. When you get to that place of preparedness, just know that God is about to do something big in your life.

Made Useful

“Made Useful”

2 Timothy 2:20: In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy useful to the master and prepared to do any good work.

Rejection and heartache, intense lessons were learned

My smile often hidden because emotions were burned

A need to feel loved and make the hurt go away

Longing for that sacred place to rest and stay

But God saw my struggle and covered me with Grace

He came to me one evening and put Glory on my face

A Glory so bright and a future new to me

Strangers cannot believe the sin that once consumed me

But now I am brand new, cleansed and ready for use

The yoke that had me bound is no longer a noose

To profess His word and love to a chosen people

Hand-picked by God and all being loved equal

Holy, useful and prepared for good work

Accepting the commission to be one of God’s clerks

The work is plenty but the workers are few

Allow Him to cleanse you and become useful too!

Original poem written by God, delivered by me!

Gentleness

1 Samuel 18:1-4 And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic and even his sword, his bow and his belt.

The story of Jonathan and David is a close relationship with that of Christ and His chosen people. Jonathan, the son of a king, dressed in his royal robe and tunic took off his glory and dressed David in it. In the same token, Jesus deposited a piece of himself in all of us! A piece of his glory! We have the opportunity to put on the full armor of God everday!

We may have friends or family that we wish could see the destiny that God has been preparing for them. We wish they could see their potential for greatness. We may want them to be ready to take hold of their future but God knows better than we do. He knows when the cutting and priming, the molding and shaping can come to an end. He alone is God, all by himself!

In 1 Samuel, we learn that Samuel had anointed David to become King. In other words, David had been rooted and established as King.

The people we try to assist in reaching their potential, may not be ready or willing to accept our help. Just because we see their potential doesn’t mean that they are ready to walk in it. In the meantime, we have to remain kind and keep encouraging them. What we think are helpful words may cause more harm to them than good, If they are not ready to receive.

Be kind and remember to walk in love!

Complete In Him

Hebrews 7:25-27 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him; because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need-one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

There is only one all-powerful savior who is able to deliver you completely from sin, protect you completely from danger, heal you completely from disease and make you complete  in him. There is only one who sits at the right hand of God to intercede for you. There is only one who prayed so intensely for you that his tears turned to blood.

Knowing this, why do you seek man’s approval so desperately, or pass judgment on others. Deeper still, why is that you can’t move those mountains in your own life or encourage yourself to do better, feel better or be better. Why can’t you speak to your future and call it in to existence? Why haven’t you taken hold of your God-given power?

God has empowered you to be a success. He has equipped you with the necessary knowledge and skills to make things happen in this very moment. The scripture says he is able to save completely those who come through God. Guess what, because we have been bought by a price and deposited with the Holy Spirit of God, we have his power within us! We are able to speak over ourselves and our family and all that God has given us dominion over. We can speak deliverance, protection, healing and wholeness. We can speak all of God’s promises because he has empowered us to do so.

Dear Lord, help us to find our completeness in you. Help us to look at the gifts that you have given us and unlock our potential to create, design and build new ideas to further your kingdom. Lord, you did not give us a spirit of timidity, we ask that you watch over us and make us useful for your will. We pray that we are relevant and effective, to minister to others and Lord we thank you for molding and shaping us into the ministry that you want to preach through us. We Love You! In Jesus Name Amen.

Much Love,

Mrs. Misenheimer

Good Enough for Me!

Taken from The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian.

10 Good Reasons to Read God’s Word:

  1. To know where you are going.
  2. To have Wisdom.
  3. To find success.
  4. To live in Purity.
  5. To obey God.
  6. To have joy.
  7. To grow in faith.
  8. To find deliverance.
  9. To have peace
  10. To distinguish good from evil

If those aren’t convincing enough for you, try this one:

John 5:25 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. (KJV)

Now that’s enough for me! If you’re feeling uninspired, unmotivated or if you just don’t know what you’re feeling, get in God’s Word and work it out. God will give you the very thing that you need, even when you didn’t know that you needed it! He’s amazing like that.

The scriptures speak of hearing God’s word for belief. God wants us to study Him and His ways. He wants us to be sure of His promises to us so that we can walk in confidence and teach the next generation that is coming after us.

Most importantly God’s Word tells me that the hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

Study His word, Get to know God and Become Familiar with Him. His Word is His personal Invitation to you. His Invitation for salvation, His Invitation for love and His Invitation to create a new you! Will you accept it?

My prayer: Father, we all fall short of your Glory but thank you for never leaving us to ourselves. Thank you for not turning your face from us and thank you so much for your unfailing love. We appreciate the opportunity to study your word for knowledge and understanding of you and your ways.  We thank you for your Son Jesus and for everlasting life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Much Love,

Misenheimer

Wait For It.

Habakkuk 2:1  I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.    ( NIV)

The scripture speaks of standing firm in faith when waiting on the word of God to be revealed to you. Whatever question you need answered, the scripture says to stand firm. Stand firm in worship, stand firm in prayer but most of all, stand firm in your faith.

God has a magnificent way of breaking generational curses and loosening those yokes from around our necks that can choke the life from us. We cannot waver in our faith, we have to trust and believe that God is capable of handling our situation. All we need is one word, one suggestion or as T.D. Jakes says, “One Crumb”, of his promise. Hold on to it and know that all things are possible with God.

My prayer for you: Dear Lord, thank you for watching over your people and answering our prayers. Your Word says our prayers are like incense to you, a sweet and pleasant aroma. Lord help us to stay firm in worship, prayer and especially in our faith and Father we thank you for watching over your Word to make sure that it is accomplished. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Much Love,

Mrs. Misenheimer
